Kristin Fisher was added to the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. As a correspondent, she covers everything from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial space companies and the advent to space tourism. Kristin's parents are each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space, and she has since worked as a White House reporter for FOX News, covering Biden and Trump Administrations' positions on space issues. Over the course of her tenure, she reported on the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the spread of coronavirus in addition to two distinct administrations' initiatives. Additionally, she traveled with President Trump and the Vice President frequently. This included a secret trip to Afghanistan. Kristin worked her way through the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for over a decade before becoming a part of the network. She was awarded the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as an CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. With her experience on the set, Kristin created Field Mouse Films in 2014, which was a specialist in documentary style films for corporate clients, such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. Kristin lives with husband, daughter, and their three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
